Architecture is static; outdoor environments live.The same applies to the design process. It is not linear; the process is iterative as a never ending spiral is. It begins with assessing the opportunities and constraints of what exists and an idea. Out of it forms the creation of a prototype. Sometimes an abstract idea helps to fully understand the possibilities of a site. Out of it evolves a new approach and the question, does it work or does it need to be revised? The best designs come out of collaboration between owners, users and all involved design professionals.
